Fall 2017 colors – New York

Here is what Panatone detected as the colors that were mostly used in the New York Fashion Week for Fall 2017.

Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer.

The Panatone website says:

“Every season the team at the Pantone Color Institute evaluates the colors shown by fashion designers in their collections at New York Fashion Week. This information is then used to create The PANTONE Fashion Color Report where we highlight the top 10 colors for men’s and women’s fashion for the upcoming season. “

Regarding the New York Fashion Week;

“Bookended by a dynamic Grenadine red and a tawny Autumn Maple, the color palette for Fall 2017 leans more to warmth, “ says Eiseman. “While comforting, enveloping colors and ease are crucial to the seasonal feeling, standout shades include a pale pink Ballet Slipper, a refreshing Golden Lime, and a bright Marina blue. These hues add a striking touch when paired with the classic autumnal shades of Navy Peony, Neutral Gray, Butterrum and Tawny Port.”

Fall 2017 colors – London

Here is what Panatone detected as the colors that were mostly used in the London Fashion Week for Fall 2017.

Pantone is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. Regarding the London Fashion Week;

“Led by a vivid Flame Scarlet, the color palette for Autumn/Winter 2017/2018 is comprised of strong classics colors complemented by a few unpredictable shades for the autumn and winter seasons,” noted Eiseman. “Unexpected combinations such as Royal Lilac and Otter Brown or Lemon Curry with Bluebell are eye-arresting and create an unusual color dichotomy.”

We are so happy that our purple is a chosen color for this fall season!

Fighting the fashion industry

I came across a post on Instagram (posted by @bahspositively) that showed the beautiful Ashley Graham talking about the fashion industry and how she advises women to love themselves and not judge their body by the standards of other people and especially these laid by the fashion designers and industry.

Here is she in a small video explaining her viewpoint:

I estimate that 90% of the Instagram feed I watch is made of skinny “model” type women that sell fashion.

This high pressure “selling” reminds me of religious pep talks (od all religions) and how these modify the believers’ behaviour and thinking.

This is the communication era, be free to talk, dress, look and think as you want to.

“Shine bright and believe in your beauty”

Today, a lovely customer of ours, Natalié Morrison, posted an incredible post on Instagram. We asked her immediately if we can share it with our network, and she agreed.

Here is her Instagram post:

“…because some of you lovely ladies wrote me a message
because of my IG story.

So my waist girth is 60/61 cm.
And no, I don’t wear a corset, I don’t do any waist training
and I don’t do any sports. Well, I do horse riding from time to
time and I walk a lot but that’s it. I don’t put any weight on
and talked with a doctor about it a few years ago.

I’m absolutely healthy and just blessed with good genes and
a little waist. My whole family is slim and fit without much effort.
So I’m sorry that I can’t give you any waist training advices.
☹️ But I can give you another advice: You don’t need a tiny
waist or a slim body to be pretty. You ladies just need to shine
bright and believe in your beauty. Don’t waste your time running
after all the weird beauty standards that social media platforms
are showing you. You don’t need to squeeze yourself
into a corset and you don’t have to run into the gym because
magazines are telling you that you need to look like this
or like that. Enjoy life, laugh, have fun and that’s all you need.

You are all absolutely stunning. ❤️? “

THANK YOU, NATALIE, AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
